Hand and Upper Extremity Therapy 

A qualified hand therapist can evaluate and treat any problem relative to the upper extremities. The hand therapist can effectively treat and rehabilitate the patient through postoperative rehabilitation, preventative, non-operative, or conservative treatment, or industry consultation.

The therapist works closely with the physician and patient to provide a continuum of care. This often starts within days of the injury or surgery right through to the patient’s return to work and/or a productive lifestyle.

Physical therapy is a comprehensive experience that begins with an initial evaluation and extends through the restorative and preventative stages of recovery.

Vestibular and Concussion Therapy

Physical Therapists trained or certified in vestibular rehabilitation therapy, can design an exercise-based treatment plan to help reduce your feelings of vertigo or dizziness, improve balance and coordination, and get you back to your normal activities. The type and frequency of the exercises are customized for each individual, and are based upon a number of variables, including the underlying condition, medical history, age, lifestyle, strength and mobility.

Pelvic floor physical therapy is a treatment that addresses pain, weakness, and dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles. The type of therapy indicated will depend upon the symptoms you’re experiencing. For example, some symptoms will require strengthening the muscles while others may require releasing and lengthening of the muscles.
